On Track? Or Just Feeling Your Way Through Life?

"Feelings" all too often limit our lives.  Ideally we make good decisions and from these positive feelings flow. But sometimes we get it backward and let feelings run our lives.

It's not unlike an old-time train, with a locomotive on the front and a caboose at the rear.  Just as trying to pull the train using the caboose is useless, letting our feelings power our lives is sure to get us nowhere.  We need a 'locomotive', a source of power for living.  'Faith' is the locomotive that powers the life of a Christian.  

But the pressures, doubts, and worries of everyday life derail even the most solid believer.  When that happens, it's important to remember that God has a plan to get us back on track, a plan He's communicated through His Word, the Bible.

Here are some feelings that right now may be derailing your 'life train', side-by-side with God's plan for getting you back on track:
