Looking Forward
Just as you cannot drive a car forward by looking in the rear view mirror, you cannot go forward in your own life by spending your time thinking of the past. The past, whether it was 50 years ago or yesterday, is gone. We keep it alive only in our thoughts.
Life is short; it is a gift from God and ought not to be wasted ruminating about the past. Scientists say that the human mind entertains 60,000 thoughts per day. If most of those thoughts look backward, we are wasting the God-given gift of the present. Life is short; make it count.
