A Simple Cup of Tea and Conversation
Bringing joy into someone’s life can be pretty simple:
- First, set a time to visit.
- Second, find out if the person has any dietary restrictions or limitations.
- Third, ask them what they like to drink: hot/iced tea, water, coffee, or juice.
- Next, bake some cookies, or buy some. Bring along some extras to leave with them so they have a snack for the next day or two.
- Put a clean dish towel into a picnic basket, or a bag, along with two cups/mugs, and a small plate. Put the beverage into a carafe or pitcher. Don’t forget napkins.
- When you arrive, take out the dish towel, lay it on the table, set out your cups, and put your treat on the plate.
- Sit back and enjoy the good food and conversation.
- Remember to pay attention to the person, instead of your watch.
- Repeat this scenario weekly and watch how God blesses you both.
